Key IRCTC Refund Policy Highlights
- RAC & Waitlisted Tickets: If you cancel a waitlisted or RAC ticket up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the train, a flat clerkage charge of ₹60 per passenger is deducted. The remaining fare is refunded.
- Chart Preparation: No refund is granted online for confirmed tickets cancelled less than 4 hours before scheduled departure. A TDR must be filed for specific cases like train delay or coach damage.
- Online Refund Status: Refunds for tickets cancelled online are usually credited back to the original payment source within 3 to 5 working days.
